My name is Neil Jackson and I’m an Arab Studies Interdisciplinary Major at Davidson College. I was born in Atlanta, Georgia and I developed a love for the Arabic language during high school, where I had a great teacher that inspired me to pursue the language at the college level. Within my major, I explore the intersections of Middle Eastern history and politics in the context of the Arabic Language.

My research focuses on the impact that Syrian refugees have had on host communities that they have been re-located into in Jordan.
